Luca Sola (Collestatte Piano, 1977). Fotografo documentarista, ha studiato letteratura contemporanea presso l’Università di Perugia e ha preso il Master in Fotogiornalismo presso l’ISFCI a Roma. Fotogiornalista professionista dal 2009, i suoi reportage riguardano tematiche sociali, umanitarie e geopolitiche. I suoi lavori sono stati pubblicati dalle maggiori testate, nazionali e internazionali, tra le quali Time Magazine, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Economist, Vanity Fair, Esquire Russia, Sonntags Blick, Internazionale, L’Espresso, Panorama, IL24, D – La Repubblica delle Donne, Io Donna, Gente, Cosmopolitan, The Observer, Daily Mail, The Independent, East. Tra i vari riconoscimenti ottenuti, Sola ha vinto il terzo premio allo Yonhap International Press Photo Awards 2011, nella categoria “Enhancement of International Peace”, grazie al lavoro sulla rivoluzione in Libia. Il suo primo libro, Libia/Appunti di Guerra (Postcart Edizioni, 2012), è basato sul medesimo progetto. È fotografo di assegnazione per diverse agenzie dipendenti dall’ONU e ONG internazionali. I lavori di Luca Sola sono stati esposti in mostre personali e collettive a Roma, New York, Parigi, Londra, Edinburgo, San Diego, Seul e Toronto. Attualmente vive a Johannesburg.
